At Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County, we are devoted to providing love, hope, respect and a fresh start for the homeless. Love Acts facilitates community outreach programs that are constantly improving people's lives. These programs are made possible by the generosity of those who truly believe in our mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus in Tarrant County. Vickery corner, in association with Deep Love Ministries Outreach and Freedom in Worship Church. Love Acts offers prayers, encouragement and information on substance recovery with invitations to LCTC recovery meetings, bibles, resource guidance on services for the homeless, and the Love Acts Post Office mail service. Churches and faith groups throughout Tarrant County provide assistance to the working poor. If a family needs money to pay rent, a voucher for gas or to pay for medicines, free food, or perhaps help with electricity bills, a local church in Fort Worth, Texas, as well as surrounding communities, can help.
Cornerstone provides primary and preventive medical and dental care to the uninsured in Tarrant County. LoveActs trains and equips volunteers, groups and churches to be effective in ministering and supporting those in need. The Presbyterian Night Shelter was created by a group of Presbyterian churches as an overnight shelter for men, women and children struggling with homelessness in Tarrant County. When seeking help at a Tarrant County church, they will generally only support people who are in the zip code or the immediate community.
